What are other fees or costs for living in La Casa?

Cable TV – supplied by and payable to Comcast/Xfinity. Comcast also supplies broadband Internet service if desired. Residents can also arrange for satellite or over-the-air TV service as an alternative to cable.

Real Estate Tax – Sarasota County taxes the home and share as Real Estate

Water and Sewer – supplied by and payable to North Port Utilities.  Reclaimed water from our lakes for watering lawns  is supplied by La Casa at no charge

Electric – supplied by and payable to Florida Power and Light

(FYI — Trash and recycles pickup is collected by Sarasota County weekly using Waste Management; the cost is included in your real estate taxes)

How much is the monthly HOA fee at La Casa, and when is it due?

The La Casa monthly HOA (commonly called maintenance) fee for 2024 is $191.00. All fees are due the first day of each month and are past due on the fifth of the month.

What does it cost to live in La Casa?

Each home’s costs are different and based on personal preference and usage.  However, a reasonable estimate of yearly costs for maintenance fee, utilities, and taxes could be approximately $5,000.

Am I required to be a member in any other Association? If I choose to, what are the fees?

It is not necessary to join any other Association. One can choose to join the Activity Association for $7.00 annually which permits access to numerous activities, concerts, and other events throughout the year.

Is the residential cooperative or other membership association involved in any court cases which may face a liability in excess of $100,000.00?

No, there are currently no court cases involving our Associations.
